SIG 1/6 SCALE CLIPPED-WING CUB KIT
Back in 1969, Hazel Sig (President of Sig Mfg. Co.) rebuilt a standard 1941 PIPER J-3 CUB. Her goal was to increase aerobatic performance, so she trimmed 40" off each wing panel and reworked the engine to give the plane added horsepower. The result was an exceptionally aerobatic Cub that was a delight to handle.
This 1/6-scale model showcases the delightful flying characteristics of Hazel’s full-scale Clipped Wing Cub. Maneuvers, such as smooth aileron rolls, snap rolls, immelmann turns, and many other impressive air exercises, while difficult to execute in a standard wing J-3, come off effortlessly with the SIG Clipped Wing Cub Kit.
